At this years Service Desk and IT Support show, we exhibited a" Board of Pain" where visitors could add their own issues that drive them mad about IT.
Our intention was to use this to engage delegates and explore what areas create the most frustration to enable us to better understand and better meet the needs of the IT Industry. ( And have a bit of Fun too! ) We had 170 "postits" posted over the two days. Some comments covered several areas so %=more than 100%
We were surprised at the results ourselves and in particular the number of comments that it was "Lack of IT Literacy" and "Users and Customers" that drove respondents mad scoring 15.3% and 14.6% respectively and 3.65% said they loved IT.
